Feminine Archetypes features female scholars who explore the images and inherited patterns of women in the African, Chinese, and Iranian diasporas, the Ngarabal women of Australia, and Anglo women in the United States. While exploring these universal female themes, this documentary journeys through the study of matriarchy. These female archetypes are stitched together with the values - collaboration, community, resilience, nurturance, compassion, wisdom, strength and love. This film reveals that no matter the culture, the themes and images of the female are universal. Within this conversation of mythology, there is an intersection with spirituality, nature, social justice, climate change, and the truth of our oneness. At its core, Feminine Archetypes is an educational and expansive story that brings awareness to the threads that connect women, nature and humanity from past to present.
